We are fully independent from hedge fund managers and all other fund service providers. As a result of this, we have no conflicts of interest that could be seen to impact our decision making process. Any actions we take are objective and free from bias. We do not have any economic interest in any of our clients and do not benefit from the performance of their investment funds. We have a policy of not investing in client funds.
We have extensive experience in the set up, structuring and providing corporate governance to alternative investment funds. Our independent directors have backgrounds in public accounting, law, fund administration and asset management. Each director has an average of 20 years of industry experience at a senior level prior to becoming an independent director.
The capacity of each director is managed to ensure they always have sufficient time to dedicate to each client relationship and discharge their fiduciary role. We provide full transparency on the number of client relationships of each director.
Our focus is on providing independent director services to alternative investment funds. We spend all of our time servicing our clients and do not have other commitments or business lines to manage.
Each director takes direct responsibility for their fiduciary role. Directors review all of the Fund’s documentation and agreements. Directors do not delegate their duties to other individuals.
All of our clients are subject to our internal risk assessment prior to their acceptance. This risk assessment takes account of the following, domicile and regulatory status of the manager, the investment strategy, experience of investment team and an assessment of the other service providers to the fund. Our client base is mainly regulated managers in North America, Europe and Asia.
